On July 9, 2018, Duke Energy Carolinas and Duke Energy Progress opened the 2018 rebate program for applications – which have been handled in the order received.
Most solar installers handled 2018 and 2019 rebate applications for their customers. The 2018 rebate is now fully subscribed for residential and business applicants. We anticipate the 2020 application process will begin January 1, 2020, and customers can become eligible by starting a solar project after October 3, 2019, or by preparing to apply to reserve their rebate ahead of time.
If you’ve been notified that Duke Energy has accepted and approved your rebate application, sit tight and you’ll eventually receive an email notification when your rebate payment is on the way. Unsure if you’re approved? Have you been told you’re on a waiting list? Be in touch with your solar installer about your situation and your options.

The Town of Jamestown is interested in installing some PV cells. I would be interested in speaking to someone about the rebate. Thank you.
